Kanazawa Baptist Church
Our church home, away-from-home.
It would be difficult to find a warmer or more welcoming church body!
Even though the service is conducted in Japanese, hymns and bulletins are always printed for us in a combination of English and romaji.
We were greeted with a welcome party one Sunday night which included a beautiful flower arrangement and origami cranes.
Speaking of flower arrangements, Pastor Taguchi is pictured here
with his oldest parishioner, Mizakuri-San who creates flower arrangements every Sunday for the church. (She's 95!)
Taguchi-Sensei takes us shopping at Omicho fish market.
And we do our best to add to the fun at K.B.C.'s kindergarten festival!
Susan helped American missionary Dana Huckabay
organize a Women's Fellowship meeting.
Susan with Yuko-San and (in her Christmas kimono) Tomoko-San,
both faithful members at K.B.C.
A few members of our English Sunday School Class.
After the Huckabays left in December, we were asked to teach the class.
Just one more example of the generosity of this body - Heraba-San treats our family, visiting from the States, to an elaborate and exquisite
osechi New Year's dinner.
John 3:16 in Japanese calligraphy.
Junko-Sensei, Taguchi-Sensei's wife, created this as we all chatted over tea after one Sunday evening service.
Great!
